OPEN ALL YEAR
Overlooking the plain of Alençon, nestling on the gently rising hill entering the Ecouves forest, the gîte is housed in the old farmhouse known as ‘the Walnuts’.
The gîte consists of – ground floor with kitchen and room for 40 people with a large fireplace and – upstairs 17 beds (11 in one dormitory and three small bedrooms each with 2 beds).
The room can be rented separately from the gîte.
The room opens at the back on to a large grassy area and forest, ideal for aperitifs, receptions, barbecues and outdoor games popular with children.
Kitchen facilities: fridge, cooker with 4 gas burners and electric oven, microwave, coffee machine, electric kettle, crockery and cutlery for 40 people.
As well as welcoming hikers, (walking, biking or equestrian) the versatile gîte also greets warmly family gatherings – weddings, birthdays .. , for a single night or week – end , and even courses for a week.
Simple stabling for 5 horses and paddocks at the rear of the gîte are available for horse riders.
Parking is available for up to 5 vehicles in the courtyard in front of the house plus a large shared car-park for the campsite and gîte.
